November 2

November is here! We have much to be thankful for during this month of Thanksgiving. I am thankful for you!

Tomorrow's lesson is about being called to be a disciple and being fishers of men and women. What does it really mean to follow Jesus? Join us to discuss this idea.
Also, please pray for Vickie. Her Dad had a stroke this week and she is with him in St. Louis.

Fall is Here!

Fall is here! Football games, pumpkins, colored leaves, and caramel apples. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I am tickled to announce some fun Fall things just for us this month.

October 11: Corn Maze- That is right, get lost among the corn stalks. Watch out for spooks.

October 18: Bonfire at the Elliotts- All 7th graders are invited to our house for dinner and a bonfire. We will do some other things, like watch a movie under the stars and play flashlight tag. So, bring a lawn chair, jacket, and flashlight. S'mores await you!

The Real Me

Today we talked about God choosing Mary, an ordinary girl. But God used Mary in an extraordinary way. Remember, God made each of us special. He wants to use the Real Us. Natalie Grant's song reminds us of how special we really are.

Yours by Steven Curtis Chapman

The original song, "Yours".

Dinner & a Movie

It is time for the first Jr./Sr. High Mix. On Saturday, Sept. 27 at 6:00 p.m. meet at Back Yard Burger for a little dinner. Then we will head to the Campbell Cine 16 to watch a movie. Choices are: Fireproof and Igor. I am going to see Fireproof! Hope you can make it. It will be a great time to get to know others and have a night out. See you on Saturday!

God Holds Our Future

Today we are learning in Isaiah that God knows our future and He is in control. That promise should help us not to worry. How is everything going for you these days? Are things worrying you? Just keep reminding yourself that God is in control and He will do what is best for you. Have a great week!
